Personal Profile

Came to the United States of America in 1987, I am a native Chinese speaker fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. Grew up in Taiwan. I received my Master and Doctor Degrees of Education from University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the United States of America at 1989 and 1994, respectfully. Enjoy teaching and learning from students of all social, economic and ethnic background, I grow up with my students from all walks of life. Using modern technology, digital media and clinical research, I believe everyone can learn Chinese at different level on one’s own pace and enjoy.

Teaching Philosophy

I love to connect Pre-K-12 Chinese programs and the AP/IB Chinese curricula with advanced college/career preparation and life long learning. Deepen language understanding and cultural appreciation through classic and modern Chinese literature as well as combining cutting edge technology with global awareness and social responsibility, promoting Chinese languages and cultures through e learning and education are my lifelong dedication and compassion.
